About Me
I have lived in the Mudgee region for over 20 years. I have experience in all genres of photography. When i’m not taking photos I am probably out tiling as is my trade also. To relax, a spot of fishing or riding around the countryside on my motorcycle or sharing special moments with family.
Experience
I am self taught in Photography but also achieved a High Distinction Diploma with the Photography Institute. I have won many awards over the years and have also judged many photography competitions.
I was employed by Fairfax Media as a photographer for the Mudgee Guardian for a few years. Freelancing is mostly what I do these days .
Career
I have been fortunate enough to meet an amazing amount of people from all walks of life. I have photographed Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Danni Minogue, Olympian and 6 time world champion Jessica Fox, Lee Kernaghan, Jimmy Barnes, Angry Anderson, Shannon Noll, The Living End, to name a few.
The Passion
A polaroid camera was the first I owned, given to me by my father. I used to love taking the shots and shaking the print until I could see the image appear. I was always the one taking the snaps around family and friends.
I was always interested in motorcycle racing and was a regular at Phillip Island for the Moto GP and World Superbikes. This is where I learned my craft, shooting high speed riders and motorcycles, capturing them at over 300kph it was a great way to improve my photography levels. From there I studied a diploma in photography with the Photography Institute of Australia and passed with high distinction. I then branched out into weddings, photo journalism and most genres. I am extremely passionate and love what I do.
The profession
I am a fully accredited professional photographer with the AIPP, a member of Nikon Professional Services. I am also the current president of the Cudgegong Camera Club, an award winning photographer and have been featured in Australia’s top selling Photography magazine and have judged many photography competitions. I am also fully insured and have a current working with children permit.
